PlumFest is proud to announce a $1,250 donation to the Newburyport Education Foundation to help support music education at the Rupert A. Nock Middle School.

The Newburyport Education Foundation generates financial resources and encourages community involvement to enhance educational opportunities throughout the Newburyport Public Schools.

Founded by community members who wanted to bridge the gap between available public funding and the aspirations of the school district, the NEF has donated more than $4 million to Newburyport’s public school system.

Thanks to PlumFest’s donation, the Rupert A. Nock Middle School, which serves students in grades 6 through 8, was able to purchase a new drumline for its student musicians.

This donation is especially meaningful to everyone at PlumFest. Music has always played an important role in bringing our community together, and we believe strongly in supporting and inspiring the next generation of young musicians.

We are thrilled to help provide Nock Middle School students with an opportunity to learn, perform and experience the joy of making music together.

PlumFest is grateful to the Newburyport Education Foundation for its continued commitment to strengthening educational opportunities for local students. We cannot wait to hear the Nock Middle School drumline perform!
